Church leaders affirm the full text before they serve in a church role.
- 1. God is holy. There is one God, eternally Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: holy, loving, and Creator of all things (Isaiah 6:3). The Bible, Old and New Testaments, is God's inspired Word, true and trustworthy, and the final authority for faith and life.
- 2. We are not. We are made in God's image, yet all have sinned and fall short of His glory (Romans 3:23). We cannot save ourselves.
- 3. Jesus saves. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived without sin. He died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and was raised on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). He ascended and will return. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus, not by our works (Ephesians 2:8–9).
- 4. Repent and believe. Jesus calls everyone to repent and believe (Mark 1:15). The Spirit gives new life, lives in every believer, and empowers us to follow Jesus. All who follow Jesus are one family, gathered in local churches, called to love God and neighbor and to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20). Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead and make all things new; those who trust Him will live with God forever.
- To God be the glory. From Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. (Romans 11:36)
